My big fat GAY Wedding!!!

That's right folks...a GAY WEDDING!!! Not mine but one of my best friends.
This last weekend I flew home to Wisconsin for my best friends wedding/commitment ceremony and yes, he is gay and he is damn proud of it and I am damn proud of him.
This was the first wedding that I have been asked to be apart of and I couldn't be more honored. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony, the only thing that should've have been there that was not was the actual marriage certificate. As I have stated many times, I do not understand why there has to be such hatred toward gay marriage. Who cares, it is two people that have found love and love eachother unconditionally, let them be happy as the rest of us heterosexual may or may not :) be in our marriages.
That is my small little rant on that, back to the ceremony. I have never seen such a beautiful ceremony, I cried through the whole thing. Their friend Alex sang beautifully to "Stand by Me" and they did some dedications to those who could only be there in spirit and their wedding party couldn't have been bigger and full of people who loved them and shared in their joy. I was able to see all of my friends and was able to make new friends, which was absolutely wonderful.
My boyfriend also came with me and had a good time as well. The fact that he is so open to my friends and their lifestyles is wonderful, I couldn't have a better boyfriend. So with all of that said and done I just want to end with a few things....
A beautiful ceremony was performed for two beautiful people inside and out and I was so happy to be apart of it
I only wish that some day the marriage can be legalized and I can be apart of that celebration too!
I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends and a wonderful boyfriend who loves them as much as I do!

I gotta vent....

Alright, so for those of you who know me, I can't go through a day without finding at least one thing to vent about. However, today I think I may have a few things that have been building up...maybe some of it is food for thought;yeah probably not.

1. How hard is it to say "Bless you" after someone sneezes? I feel like this is a common courtesy of good manners. No matter who or when they sneeze you should always say bless you. I work with someone who never says bless you when anyone here sneezes, however we all say it for him. Why?! Is it really that hard!?

2. Since when did volleyball shorts become so small for girls? They used to be athletic shorts or gym shorts, now they look like hot pants. I'm suprised that half the time the girls bottom doesn't fall right out! They are so tiny! And one more thing on the same subject...I don't care how good looking or ugly you are, where a regular shirt! Not a tiny tank top that doesn't fit so your stomach shows and your boobs fall out the top! Come on people!

Suprisingly enough that it is it for now. Normally I would have a lot more to vent about but I guess that is all I can think of from the last 24 hours that has stood out in my mind. Those little things just drive me absolutely bonkers!!! So take from it what you will.

Why a blog?

I have decided to start a blog not only to keep people updated on what I am doing, whether they care or not :), but to also have a place to share thoughts, views and other randomness that happen in day to day life. So I am not sure how this will go, it is something that is very new and different for me but something that I think will be fun and interesting.
